Hai hai.. :) saya kembali lagi berbahasa Indonesia di sini. Mungkin akan bertahan sampai kemampuan bahasa Inggris saya meningkat. Hehe..

Melanjutkan proyek iseng saya kemarin, kali ini saya akan mempublikasikan 18 seri kartu pos terbaru yang bisa dimiliki siapa saja. Konsepnya tidak jauh berbeda dari kemarin, masih seputar foto-foto yang pernah saya ambil. Spesifikasi dari kartu pos ini adalah sebagai berikut : Kartu Pos berukuran 15 x 10,3 cm dan diprint digital di atas kertas Ivory 260gram.

Ada setiap caption di kartuposnya yang akan membantu anda ketika ingin mengembangkan narasi dari postcard yang hendak dikirim. Dan saatnya saya persembahkan 18 seri kartu pos ini. Silakan :D

Disamping kartu pos, saya juga akan menyajikan Album Kartu Pos (terbatas 5 buah saja) yang bisa dimiliki oleh 5 pembeli pertama kartu pos saya. Album ini seperti notebook biasa, isinya kertas linen untuk tempat kartu pos, dan kertas samson yang bisa digunakan untuk menulis alamat relasi. Sampul depan dan sampul belakang saya sablon. Walaupun warnanya hitam, saya ingin benar-benar menjauhkan cover ini dari kesan fotokopi. Dari 5 buah yang saya buat, 4 cover berwarna cokelat, dan 1 buah berwarna biru. Silakan :D

Album kartu pos ini bisa didapatkan secara cuma-cuma dengan pembelian 1 paket kartu pos (9 buah) yang bisa dipilih dari katalog. :)

Sunday, a free day for everyone. I just finished a short project with Putri. We made Ojanto's Screen Printing History Book. It contains 100 pages of linen paper and stitch binded. We make this to save all of our process stories about screen printing in Ojanto. I hope it can inspire everyone who read. You can also read it when we open offline shop, or in bazzar or everything. Hello..

Today I think about postcrossing. I just can't describe how happy when postcard came and when postcard arrived to the destination. So I decide to make my own postcards. My postcard called KARTU POS. It's so standart actually, but I just put little different on logo, I use Javanesse Traditional Letter. I hope someone who receive this postcard would be happy, and take care of it. I make one postcard for one person, I hope it will be exclusive postcards. :)

Hello Dello..!! long time no see! haha.. :)) I've been lil busy with my academic activity. I have new story to tell.. This is August, many things gave birth on this month. Indonesia, and then the scout, and also my partner, Putri Anugrah Sekar Ati. :D

Do you still remember about SCREENCAST? my project with Putri.. Its kind of daily photo blog, and we're still on the run! we hits around 460 posts now!

And the story is just connected between Putri's Birthday and this project. Yes, I had idea to make this thing, a Screencast Postcard Box as a birthday gift for my Screencast partner.

This Postcard Box made from "Sono Keling" wood, we call it kayu hitam (black wood) because of its color. The whole concept from this box is as miniature of the simplest camera. It just because our Screencast project isn't far away from camera. Not a professional one.

Honestly, I just have the idea, but other execute this. The size is fit to save a conventional postcards. You can open this camera by pulling the lens.

This year, Putri hits 28! and inside the box, I gave 28 special Screencast postcards. I hope she loves it! Happy birthday, partner! :) best wishes for ya!

yes! thats the book! I bought it in FKY (Festival KesenianYogyakarta). FKY is kind of annual art festival in Yogyakarta. Many things interesting there. (: This year I found this book. It contain many things about craft like printing by hands, supergraphic, Swedish stitching, sun watch, and many more. This book have been translated in Indonesia. The title become Aneka Hobi Rumah Tangga.

Unfortunately, I have to finish my campus CSR till the end of August. So, this are what I wanna do after CSR-ing. *sigh*

Yes, it’s just a lil bit story and pictures behind the process of HELVETOTEBAG. My partner (Putri) and I just fall in love with this kind of typeface – HELVETICA. The Idea come after watching movie titled HELVETICA by Gary Hustwit. Making tote bag with Helvetica on it? Why not? And… just do it!! With simple technique of screen-printing, we used sticker for material of stencil.

My Birthday Gift – a Ceramic Short Course

It was a really unusual birthday gift I ever had. It came from Putri. I can’t touch the gift. You know what is it?! Exclusively, Putri give me opportunity to learn ceramic with a ceramic artist in Jogja – Mas Purnomo. Big thanks to Putri! Salute to your idea! Untouchable gift! Haha :D

Started in Desember 2010, it was a long time process to make ceramic. Mas Pur let me know about the materials, the treatments, the ideas, and many stories behind the process. It ends in March 2011. Long enough, isn't it? I can’t tell you detail, but I have many pictures I can share! I think I need to publish a lot of pictures. I don’t want to forget it! Let the pictures tell you the story! Hello everyone! Meet me again! I start to write here again about what I’ve done. It just because I feel so sad when I see my page, and it’s not updated for long long time.

Me my partner in Nest of Ojanto (Putri), has an idea to make some merchandises. Something we can afford to make of course. Actually we’re in our process to learn about screen printing on fabrics. Not too much, but we really fun to do that things. We did simple screen printing using stencils.

Forum Musik Fisipol is a music community in my campus. DESEMBER CERIA is an annual party, it’s so fun, at least for me. Haha.. I decided to make merchandise for this event. The event was not too big, but 50 pieces of this keychain has been sold out less than a week after the show! Thank you so much for all buyers. Hehe.. (-:

Woww!! It’s a kind of undescribe feeling when seeing the tote bags born. Finally, this project can be finished to produce, and now it’s time to come around you all. Have a visit to www.nestofojanto.blogspot.com or our Facebook page (Nest of Ojanto).

We have 3 kinds of Tote Bags. First, we have hand-stitching tote bags with new designs and ideas. We have 2 designs, I put the idea of culture in Jogjakarta. Sometimes, I don’t really like to see or hear Java’s people that speech English too much. We call it “sok keminggris” thats why I make a scene where’s a couple of birds having a conversation. The bird boy is giving good greeting in English “HI, HONEY!”. And the bird girl give a response like this “RASAH KEMINGGRIS DEH, MAS..” that means don’t too much english, boy! Haha.. it’s a kind of funny conversation if you understand the culture here. :-)

The second design of hand-stitching tote bag is sandal and shoe. The idea comes when I think about the stuff that protecting us from ground. That stuff are only sandal and shoe. Thats why I just put my sandal and shoe to be design of this hand-stitching tote bag.

Another kinds of our tote bag are involving screen-printing process. Single image was printed in fabrics, and we cut according to the line of image. Then, we cut it and sew it above the tote bag. Another tote bag using screen-printing process is pattern tote bag. As always, I make some simple pattern to be printed in fabric! I’m so happy because little of my dream comes true.

Hi, everyone! Good to see you again in weekend! This time I wanna share my newest project I’ve done. I feel so excited to publish it everywhere. Hehe..Okey, now let me tell you the story behind the project. :-)

The concept is simple. I want to make something simple to be something out of nothing, special, and personal in simplest way. The idea of making tote bag comes so fast, so I just execute it!! I choose simplest materials I ever met, we call it “Kain Blaco”.

I’m not gonna show you plain tote bag with simplest material. I use hand stitching across the lines. The graphic I made will tell you any kind of stories, discourses, etc. So, it’s not only about totebag with hand stitching, but we provide stories behind it.

Hand stitching is simple, but I need some help from Putri to finish all. Thank you so much, Putri :-) God will give you something equal to your kindness. Hehe..

For the first term, I will publish 2 designs. First, please welcome “JOG CREATIVE CITY”. It tells us about the city I lived in for last 5 years – Yogyakarta. I just thought that this city is a creative city, because this city has its own creative way to develop city in many aspects. We can also see that this city has a good progress on creative industries. And the most important point is the people open minded to respect difference, so that they don’t need to worry about something new.

The second design entitled PESAN PISU. Pesan means message, Pisu ( I took it from sub-language of Java called Bahasa Walikan) means mother. Hi, everybody!
it's fun when you've done making something you like. Today I'm gonna tell you about what I've done. Making Collage! it's fun! you should try this project! some tool you may have are cutter pen, cutter, scissors, ruler, and foam double tape.

cut following the existing image. then assemble the pieces. after that, stick foam tape into pieces.now, glue the pieces onto the paper base. start sticking from the bottom layer.

After the finish put the pieces, you can frame with a wooden frame. now, you have a new wall decoration! : D I provide this image patterns that can be downloaded here. You can also view this tutorial and other tutorials in www.nestofojanto.blogspot.com

Hello everyone! How are you?

This time I’m gonna tell you about newest project I’ve done. And here we go! We have a Book of Screencast #1 right now. It’s first edition. It contains 50 early posts of Screencast Project. So there will be 100 pictures and its caption inside.

I was organized all the pictures in approximately 50 pages. I’m just make the layout as simple as I can. You can see some of it in this picture below. This book was printed in 210gr ivory papers, doff laminated on the hardcover, and ring binding on the left side.

This book looks like another ordinary book. So that I made something different to give this book special case made from acrylics. There is engraved Screencast Project’s logo. You can see the result. This stuff presented for my partner’s birthday – Putri Anugrah Sekar Ati. Welcome to twenty seven! :D

OWL | combination between Painting, Felt, and Stitches

A simple Idea comes. It think I want to draw an owl, then print it to be a greeting card. And I think it will be a simple and nice gift for my friend. But suddenly, I think I can make it much better. unfortunately, that new idea just executed 2 days ago.

the packaging

I just look around my whole room. I have many materials I can use for this project. "click!" I found! I found the way I will execute the OWL!actually I've never learned the art of painting. but I keep trying to paint with oil on canvas. in fact this is fun, I love it when mixing several colors to get the color I want.

this is the result

concept came from postal envelopes which typically has a frame of blue-red stripes. then I want to add the branches of trees, where the Owl was standing there. I stitch using the wool yarn for the edge lines. then I develop it again using a felt cloth. Felt cloth part are Owl and the sky. I want to give the impression as it arises. enjoy!

Hello people!

We’ve got 36 days on SCREENCAST. It means, we have 72 randomize pictures from any moments and any cameras we used. We always try to do best. Anything interesting to our opinion can be a funny photo or maybe a gloomy one.

And now, we have a simple idea to make-over SCREENCAST! The idea : every pictures inspired by issue/theme/corridor we decided. Every issue will go on for 6 days. So we’ll see 12 pictures taken by us according to the issue. It was really simple.

About first issue : ROOM

When you’re in Yogyakarta or Bandung as college student that come from another city/country, I bet you must be rent a room. Yes, the room which protects us from rain and sun. The room where we study and sleep. Or it can be a place where we can play with our creativity.

Every single room has its stories to tell. Maybe it can be very private and so hard to tell, but it can be very open and inspiring. We want to see personal side from it. And for next 6 days, SCREENCAST will serve you with pictures that having correlations with ROOM. I want to introduce newest project in collaboration with great person over there in Bandung. What is that? Let me show you this picture first.

See?

That picture was taken by Putri Santoso in May 24 , 2010. She captured a photo which is a gift from local youth Bandung for Prambors Bandung. She is in frame actually. What is correlation between Prambors and her? If you are living in Bandung city, I bet you’re gonna find her easily. She still worked in one of well known radio station in Bandung which is Prambors Bandung as announcer. Yes! She is my partner in this project. You can find her here.

And that picture was taken by me in May 31, 2010. We call that Tugu Jogja, an icon of Yogyakarta city.

About this project

I never met Putri before. But we did much unimportant conversation via messenger. We decided to make this project. We call this SCREENCAST project | a pict a day | distance through images.

this is a share-project by us. We're two friends who lives in two different city and haven't met each-other yet, but we share the same interest of things. This project contains pictures, taken each day til the day we finally met.

we didn't do a serious photography project here, we're just simply taking a-picture-a-day everyday. Pictures from two cities will tells about moments, mumbles, craft, trees, sky or any kind of things that just caught by our eyes.

Hi Friends! It was long time, so I can’t reach my own blog. And I think, this is the time I bring you something I made.

Poenel’s Family is a group of people in my campus who has a great relationship as family. The name Poenel come from a girl’s named Punel. I didn’t see her yet. But Poenel’s Family said that she was not really beautiful, but she was good in academic and non academic scope. That’s why she becomes idol in campus. It was in 2005.

One of them is married now. He was Mr. Priambodo Adi Nugroho. His friend, Brama, told me that they were going to make trophy for family members who married first and so on. The lucky first is Mr. Priambodo. His name wrote in that trophy with his wife of course.

This trophy made from acrylics. I just make the design, and it was executed in Graphico (one of printing shop in Yogyakarta). And here is the result. Enjoy! (there also a pray before you make love with your wife/husband) :p

Face Color Splashing

Face Color Splashing

Yes. That is my concept for plastic camera exhibition.

This exhibition called “Ketika Cahaya Menenun Nada – Phodiography”

It means : when lights wove tone.

It was held on December 16th – 23rd 2009 at Museum Kupu-Kupu (Butterfly Museum)

This project allows artists to make a photograph based on a song (randomly) as his/her stimulation for make it.

I got song Dunia Maya from Stereomantic.

This song has enough beat up.

According to my ear, this song has colorful nuance.

So directly this idea comes.

Face color splashing.

I got Intan Reza Sumadiputri as girl model and Swandi Ranadila as boy model.

What actually I wanna say with this photograph is to carry the nuance of the song.

So people who look at this photograph will be feel as colorful as the song.

I used my Lomo Fisheye no. 2 for Intan and Brawn SLR for Swandi.

I used kodak color film ISO 200/36 for both of them.

Firstly, Ariena order me to make her a notebook.

And I try to make this one. And I think its fun for me.

I feel free to design and to make all my imagination into notebook cover. Haha..

I made 2 pieces first. One for Ariena (based on order) , and the other is giraffe’s notebook.

Hehe..

I pack it into plastic and trying to give it my label inside.

Birthday Gift FROM Ariena

Still in 24 November 2009, at my campus

Ariena came to me and gave me a gift..

I opened this and here the gift at the pictures.

It looked so usual. But...

Following on the letter inside the gift, it contains something I have to do and the meaning of this gift.

Shortly, I can tell you that it is not a usual gift.

She told that I have to take care of this gift.

Because, inside this turtle there are a beautiful grass seed.

After 3 weeks it will grow up.

And i’ll see the beautiful of the grass.

She also told that turtle move slowly,

According to her letter, it means turtle try to understand every step in his life.

So we can be more wise in this life.

Days ago I got problems with her,

I made her a cross stitch in a deer and text pattern.

Beside I’d like to make a deer pattern,

I just understand that deer is as beautiful as her.

21 november was Intan’s Birtday.

She is 2 YO older than me right now.

She is small physically, but she has good quality in english and france language.

She was a good listener.

Thats why I keep her as my ‘sister’.

She is the person who teach me how to think out of the box.

I do it first time when I was in ten
And I left it for years.
Days ago I go to an embroidery shop and found the material
I really like to see the color
My friend, Wandi also do it years ago
We both remembering that this stuff very popular that time

And for my project, I wanna make at least 50 different bracelets.
I hope I can.

Souvenir for Media and Journalism Seminar

My friend named Yustan asked me to make souvenir for this event
This souvenirs plans for the gift for the speaker in that seminar
At the first time I don’t know what I have to do with budget 60.000 rupiah (its about 6 US$) per souvenir
He wants some kind of unusual souvenir, and handmade stuff
Yeah..
I just go to embroidery shop and find the stuff separately.
And I made it.
Here the results.
It cost approximately 25.000 rupiah per piece
And I don’t know where the money run right now.
Hahahahaha ^^
I don’t really care about it.
What I care just I can make something for someone.
I hope that all the speakers will be happy with that souvenir.

in this early October, my friend named Bulbul asked me for a help
I don’t know what kinds of help that I can do
She explained that she wants me to make design for an event she held
She told that I have to make it’s poster design, backdrop stage design, and gate in design
I worked all night long that time. Hahaha... I really tired, but its fun! ^^
I don’t really well in design actually
But these all what I can do for her as my friend..

iPod Tote Bag

finally , this project comes true.
This tote bag made from outdoor printing materials.
I really inspired to make an ipod tote bag.
I made the design, and the print it!
I made for 1m x 1m outdoor printing. Actually it can be 2 pieces of totebag.
You can see there the other design. A Lubitel camera. But it still in process.
Waiting for a day, finally my order come, and I cut it!

and which part that make me feel this is not 100% my creation,
I don’t sew it my self. But its okay.
I still learning about sewing.
And look at that stuff! Is it funny nice??

Giraffe’s Tshirt for Ariena krishandi

Days ago, I asked my friend named Abi to give me short course about manual printing on tshirt.
And yesterday was the execution day! Yay!!! Finally I met the tools and it was new experience for me.
Abi told me many things about the methods. I listen to it, watch it carefully, and try to understand.
This is the picture when Abi clean the screen. It was in his bathroom! Hahaha :D

And then, it was when Abi want to transfer the shape of the design to the screen.

This picture was the fastest process. Give a tint to the tshirt. Less than a minute. Hahahahahah... :D

And our first project finally come!!!! Yay!!!
